Tooth Colored Fillings
Procedure
Tooth-colored fillings (Bonding) have been used for many years for front teeth. Technology has improved the composite material to now make it possible to use for many restorations in back teeth, too. In my practice, I have been placing tooth-colored fillings in the back teeth since 1996. The resin material enables me to remove less natural tooth structure when filling a back tooth. It provides a long-lasting filling that is bonded to the tooth. Many of the composite materials even have fluoride in the formula to give the added benefit of cavity resistance. Plus they look great, too! See the before and after below.
